The folks over at Visions of Krypton recently confirmed that long time DC Animated producer Bruce Timm is stepping down from his position and leaving the company to work on his own projects. Timm has been with Warner Bros. since 1989, but cemented his legacy with 1992′s Batman: The Animated Series. VFK’s Edward Gross has also stated that Timm has been planning to step down for some time, but before he did, he wanted to put forth his efforts into the recently cancelled Green Lantern animated series. His last movie project was the two-part animated film entitled The Dark Knight Returns. Which, in my opinion, was a pretty good way to go out.

Taking Timm’s place will be James Tucker, who got his start with 1996′s Pinky and the Brain. Since then he has worked on many shows, like Justice League, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and Static Shock. While WB doesn’t plan on adapting any comic books into animated movies in the near future, they do plan on exposing new characters through the use of Batman, Superman, and the Justice League.
