Walking Dead Recap 5:2

Mmmmm…. Tastes like Chicken!

When you come out of the gates at Mach 1, like episode 1 did, you can only slow down a bit if you plan on holding an entire season worth of episodes. Slowing down is exactly what episode 2 did, but not in a bad way, rather in a necessary way. Episode 1 was like watching a monkey on crack, you sat back and thought, “OH MY GOD, WHAT AM I WATCHING, THIS IS CRAZY AND AWESOME ALL AT THE SAME TIME”. Episode 2 was a much more, calm pace while still making big moves forward in the plot.

Would you like fries with that order of leg?

GREAT NEWS…. Carl may no longer be annoying! I am approaching this statement with baby steps considering it’s only episode 2, but it is very possible we are finally seeing him become a young responsible adult, and leaving the annoying and whiney pre-pubescent child, in the past. There was a great scene between Rick and Carl where Rick is once again imparting on his Son, some of his wisdom of surviving in this new Zombie infested world. For the first time it seems as though Carl listened, learned and actually obeyed his Father. Fingers crossed, we are finally seeing the new and improved Carl.

May I have some A-1 Steak Sauce with this Shin, please?

The night ends with what seems to be a quiet and cozy night for the team, held up in a Church and surrounded by safety. But in true Walking Dead fashion, that serenity is quickly stolen by hooded stalkers, and an open bon-fire cookout of…. Of…… of…….. oh never mind, you will have to watch it and see for yourself! Episode 2 was the perfect complement to the onslaught of episode 1. Very enjoyable and has me anxiously awaiting next week’s episode.

Walk on WALKERS, and I will see you back here next week for another review of THE WALKING DEAD!
