It’s been a long time coming but, M. NightShyamalan might have finally moved back up, after too long of stint in the minors, to the big leagues of scare with THE VISIT. Personaly, this trailer makes me very excited. Everyone has strange grandparents, relatives–“Great, great, great grandpa owned a what?!”–but this is extreme.
M. Night, to me, works best on a smaller, more intimate scale. Think Sixth Sense, Signs, The Village–very personal, charter driven pieces. Where as The Last Airbender, The Happening-large, generic, boring films. I won’t even mention After Earth- that’s just another example of bloated egos, millennial entitlement and bad parenting. Shyamalan is a prime example, that; bigger is not always better.
The real question is: what do you think of THE VISIT so far?
The Visit – Official Trailer (HD)
In Theaters This September

Once the children discover that the elderly couple is involved in something deeply disturbing, they see their chances of getting back home are growing smaller every day.
Shyamalan produces The Visit through his Blinding Edge Pictures, while Blum produces through his Blumhouse Productions alongside Mark Bienstock (Quarantine 2: Terminal). Steven Schneider (Insidious) and Ashwin Rajan (Devil) executive produce the thriller.
