Unless you’ve been frozen in carbonite you’ve probably have watched the new Star Wars VII teaser at least once. (Or a dozen times like myself). Here’s some of my thoughts. I’m sure there will be a million rumors between now and next December.

First Impressions:

I. Lots of new faces. Which one of them awoke the Force?

II. Why are there so many Storm Troopers? Thought the Empire was dead.

III. X-wings look great, but they’re still using them 30 yrs later.

IV. The Millennium Falcon is still the best sci-fi ship every imagined.

V. John Williams score still gives me tingles.

VI. Who is that mysterious voice? My guess is Max von Sydow.

VII. Where are Luke, Han, and Leia?

Star Wars: The Force Awakens, directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan & Abrams, features a cast including actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, Pip Andersen, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow. They will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker.

The film is being produced by Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk, and John Williams returns as the composer.
