Trailer Review: Avengers – Age of Ultron

The official trailer for the blockbuster superhero film Avengers: Age of Ultron was leaked online, one week before Marvel was set to release it for the public’s entertainment and anticipation. In a word, it looks epic.

The two-minute trailer shows the Avengers team all together again for the movie, but not together as a team. Besides fighting Ultron, they seem to be fighting themselves and isolation. All the characters from the Avengers film are back, with new characters Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch joining the cast.

Ultron, a super-powerful and intelligent robot, and in the film he is a creation of Tony Stark’s, apparently a self-realizing and evil Iron Man Suit that learns how to repair itself, improve itself, and fight each of the Avengers. James Spader plays Ultron in the film, and his voice-over in the trailer alone is enough to get anyone excited.

We also get a glimpse of Iron Man in his huge Hulkbuster suit fighting in the streets with the Hulk, which promises to be an epic battle in itself.

So what we can see from the trailer is that the Avengers team is divided and at odds, there is a super powerful robot set on world domination with a legion of similar robots (sentinels) to be beaten, and some amazing fight scenes, visuals and special effects. Directed by Joss Whedon, Avengers: Age of Ultron looks like it might even be better than the first. We’ll find out in Summer 2015.

  • I would watch a 2 hour Hulk/Iron Man Fight!!! Give me that movie Whedon!
