Netflix continues to their push of creating a strong alternative to Dish, and Cable with Marco Polo. So far Netflix hasn’t stumbled too badly with their original programing; House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, the new Arrest Development, etc have all been strong outings. The kiddie cartoon Turbo is terrible, but I can’t think of anything else. I love their british imports masked as Netflix Orginals: Peaky Blinders, The Fall, etc…great stuff.
Personally, I think Marco Polo will be their biggest test to date. No big star, historical period piece, big budgets…this is sink or swim. The trailer looks solid, but time and viewers will be the judge of this mini-series one shot or a multiple run. What do you guys think?
