So it’s been some time since we last saw the Amityville Horror house. Flashbacks of Ryan Reynold’s glistening abs come to mind, but the movie was solid and I enjoyed it. However I did have a friend who said it was his favorite horror movie of all time, notice I said did. All joking aside I think this movie has some potential, it looks creepy as hell. Throw in Jennifer Jason Leigh, Kurtwood Smith, and the creepiness of Cameron Monaghan this movie could be the best of 2015. Then again Kurtwood Smith would be right to call me a dumbass here. I won’t say I’m excited to see this movie, but I definitely will say I got a pant full of bone right now. What, Jennifer Jason Leigh sucking on a carrot, and I’ve gone off the rails. I find it’s easier to have low expectations for modern day horror, like when I go to the strip club and try to convince myself that the strippers really like me. So break out the thinnest pair of pants you got and let Amityville: The Awakening grind all over you like Cinnamon does weekly. Just know the shower here is a little less necessary.
