Infliction Trailer Has Me Second Guessing Myself…

This flick has my interest. I know, I know after The Devil’s Due, I claimed I was done with found footage flicks. BUT (there’s always a but) The Infliction is going under the “actual assembled footage” route and that (for some reason I’m not sure of) is different from found footage. I did a quick imdb search and the movie’s page is bare.  Besides the directors name and the title of the film, there isn’t anything else. I mean tumble weeds and dust bunnies. Kinda backs up the whole “assembled footage” approach. The horror nerd in me is on board, but the skeptic in me remembers a 15-year-old Bub getting suckered by the Blair Witch Project the same way.

Written and directed by Jack Thomas Smith (no relation), Infliction is a dark and disturbing assembled footage film that documents two brothers’ murder spree in NC and the horrific truth behind their actions. Check out the trailer below and if you live in NYC  you got a chance to check it out this Saturday, April 5th. Details for the screening can be found by CLICK HERE. The rest of us will have to wait for the summer. Keep checking back here for details.
