First Look at Paul Rudd in Marvel Studio’s Ant-Man

Yes, Edgar Wright won’t be directing the upcoming Ant-Man flick. The torch has been offered to Peyton Reed (Yes Man/ The Break-Up) instead. Does that deter some people from wanting to see the movie? Probably, but come on.. It can’t be any worse than the first Thor, right? Either way, I am looking forward to it.

Why, you may ask? Because of the cast! Ant-Man will star Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Judy Greer, John Slattery, Michael Pena, Corey Stoll, and the rapper T.I. While it’s still up in the air who will play who, it’s well-known that Michael Douglas will play Hank Pym (the original Ant-Man), Evangeline Lilly will play the daughter of Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne (Hope Van Dyne), Paul Rudd will play Scott Lang (the second incarnation of Ant-Man), John Slattery will probably be reprising his role as Howard Stark from Iron Man 2, and Corey Stoll will play Darren Cross (the villainous Yellowjacket).

Production started rolling this week and we’ve gotten a few shots already from social networking sites, and it’s definitely got a good vibe going for it already. While haters will still hate, you can’t deny that Marvel Studios knows how to make a movie, especially after Guardians of the Galaxy’s blockbuster success. Anyways, without further ado, here’s the first official look of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang. (Am I the only one who confused Lang’s apparent eye injury as eyebrow piercings?)
