If there’s one thing that I think everyone can agree on is that when it comes to messing with eyes it’s enough to make us all cringe and wince. And this poster is no exception. SJP’s favorite hobo Guillermo del Toro has a new show coming out  this summer titled The Strain on FX.  The answer is yes if you were wondering, this series is based off books by  Chuck Hogan and del Toro. FX dropped a teaser poster which looks, well, fantastically cringe worthy.  I can not wait for this show!  If nothing else Del Toro’s name alone should be enough to drawn in a solid audience, but toss in a mix of parasitic, viral outbreak and monster mass up and I’m all in.

The series tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll), the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers, wage war for the fate of humanity itself.
