Yeah know what I don’t like? Comics that continue a story line and then end it and then continue it again with another number one. Wait…that’s exactly what Green Lantern Corps: Edge of Oblivion #1 did…

Green Lantern Corps are trapped in the final days of the nebula as the universe slowly dies and decays, and what better way to starts us off than with a screaming fowl mouthed squirrel yelling at Guy Gardner. essentially everyone is trying to escape the universe that is slowly dying and are no wear near close enough to finding the lost lanterns to help them stop this destruction, because if they were found they wouldn’t be lost anymore. With that the Lanterns decide to light up Mogo the living planet and Green Lantern member and send a signal to any form of life that is out there and willing to help them. But, when something responds and it turns out that it’s another planet with millions of aliens on it…what do the Green Lanterns do? Find out now!

The thing with this title is one simple thing: If you didn’t read Green Lantern: Lost Army then you’d have no idea what was going on, which made it totally pointless to start from issue #1 again, this made it seem like readers would be getting an entire new story but instead, we get a continuation, I’m sorry but that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. NOW, with that being said the story is pretty interesting and I encourage people to read Green Lantern: Lost Army and then give this one a chance. Tom Taylor (Injustice Gods Among Us, The Authority) does a great job continuing where the other story left off and Ethan Van Sciver (Green Lantern: Rebirth) is always a solid choice for Green Lantern when it comes to art, but if you’re a Green Lantern fan you’d know whats going on…but for someone who’s just interested and starting out..I’d say start from the beginning and then go forward.
